Tonight could be Laylat-Al-Qadr!

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

Tonight could be Laylat-Al-Qadr, a night greater than a thousand months. A single act of charity tonight could be rewarded as if given continuously for over 83 years.

Allah (SWT) tells us:
“Indeed, We sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree. And what will make you realise what the Night of Decree is? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.”
— Surah Al-Qadr (97:1-3)

A Night of Infinite Mercy
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever stands in prayer on Laylatul Qadr out of faith and seeking reward, all his past sins will be forgiven.”
— (Bukhari & Muslim)

Reminder to Pay Your Zakat/ Zakat-tul-Fitr/Fidya!

Fiq Council of North America has set Sadaqa-Fitr $12 and Fidya $15 per day of fasting that can’t be kept, i.e., this is for people who can’t fast due to medical or age reasons. They should pay Fidya. Both Fitran and Fidya is prefered to be paid before end of Ramadan. Fitran must be paid before Eid payer or our fasting is not accepted. The sooner you give, better it is, so it can be distributed to needy people in time so they can celebrate Eid with us. It is each and everyone of our responsibility to look around in the commmunity and find deserving people and give Firana and FIdya ourself to them. If you can find or know any deserving people, inform ICCL of those derserving people by filling out the form with their name and other information so they be reached. If you don’t know or can’t find the needy people, then ICCL willl disburse to the needy people in the area.
